Overseas students are categorized as:
1. Regular international students (including general students and special program students)
2. Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong/Macau students (including overseas Chinese students, Hong Kong students, and Macau students)
The application requirements for international students shall be based on the latest “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” promulgated by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan). If any violation of the Regulations is verified, the applicant's admission, student status, or graduation qualification will be revoked, and no academic credentials will be issued.
Overseas Chinese students and Hong Kong/Macau students who do not have the status of international students must apply through the “University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students” (UECOC). For any related issues, please contact the UECOC directly.
Mainland Chinese students must apply through the “University Entrance Committee for Mainland Chinese Students” (UECMS) uniformly. For any related issues, please contact the UECMS directly.
Educational Qualifications:
Applicants who hold a high school graduation certificate may apply to enroll in the bachelor’s program for international students at this university. However, those who have previously completed high school in Taiwan as an international student are not eligible to apply for admission to this university. Any violation of the above regulations that is verified to be true will result in revocation of admission eligibility or expulsion.
Nationality Requirements:
Applicants who hold foreign nationality and have never studied in Taiwan as an overseas Chinese student, and have not been allocated by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students in the application academic year, may apply for admission in accordance with the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” by the Ministry of Education.
Applicants who hold dual nationality, both foreign and R.O.C. (Taiwan), must also meet the relevant regulations of the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” by the Ministry of Education.
Note: According to Article 2 of the Nationality Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan), a person falls under R.O.C. (Taiwan) nationality if one of the following circumstances applies:
1. A person whose father or mother was a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at the time of his/her birth. For those born before February 9, 1980 (inclusive), only the father's nationality is considered.
2. A person born after the death of his/her father or mother, if his/her father or mother was a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at the time of death.
3. A person born in the territory of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and whose parents are both unknown or are stateless.
4. A naturalized citizen.
The provisions in Item 1 and Item 2 of the preceding paragraph also apply to minors at the time of the amendment and promulgation of this Act.

Foreign students who apply for admission through the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” to study in the bachelor’s, master’s, and other degree programs at this university.
2. Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong/Macau students (including overseas Chinese students, Hong Kong, and Macau students) admission qualifications:
Students who qualify for admission through the “Regulations for Overseas Chinese Students Returning to Taiwan for Study and Guidance” to study in the bachelor’s, master’s, and other degree programs as foreign students at this university.
Students who qualify for admission through the “Regulations for Hong Kong and Macau Residents Studying in Taiwan” to study in the bachelor’s, master’s, and other degree programs as foreign students at this university.
