The International Foundation Program was established in the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023 in response to the government’s plan to expand the recruitment of overseas Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macao, and foreign students in key industries. The Program recruits foreign students without Chinese language foundation to attend Chinese language preparatory classes in Taiwan. Within one year, students are guided to pass the A2 level or above Chinese language proficiency exam before proceeding to formal academic programs. The Program also provides guidance on academic, life, and work-study matters for preparatory students. It is expected that after completing their studies on time, students can stay in Taiwan and become mid-level talents in the Taiwanese workforce.
The responsibilities of the International Foundation Program are as follows: The International Foundation Program is responsible for managing the academic affairs and student affairs of international students enrolled in the program. Coordinate and plan the learning, living, and counseling mechanisms for students in the International Foundation Program, and assist with the implementation of relevant matters.
